The plan for Grand Canyon - how hard can it get?

Isn’t it funny? I have planned a tour around the world with stops at 5 different places and plenty of activities, but to decide what to do in Grand Canyon was hard, and that is only a day tour. After hours in front of the computer I still couldn’t decide what the best thing to do was. We had several options:
To get to Grand Canyon from Las Vegas:
·         Bus
·         Plane
·         Helicopter
·         Hummer
To do in Grand Canyon:
·         Hiking
·         Biking
·         Horseback riding
·         Helicopter
·         Plane
·         White water rafting
·         Just walk around in the tourist trap
Neither my sister nor I wanted to spend 10 hours in a bus or car to get to Grand Canyon. That means that we want to go by plane or helicopter.
It is also in the middle of the summer when we are planning to be there. In other words it will be between 40-50 degrees Celsius. So physical activities like hiking, biking and horseback riding are out of the question. (I’m quite used to hike in the heat, but when it is more than 40 degrees – I really can’t enjoy it.) White water rafting I have done once on Borneo. It was sort of fun, but I got scared when two people fell of and got stuck under the boat. I really don’t feel the need to do it again. That leaves us with a flight in helicopter or plane around Grand Canyon on the to do list.
So after some discussions we decided to go for the helicopter ride the whole way: as a ride to Grand Canyon from Las Vegas and then as the activity - land next to the river and enjoy some champagne. Check out the tour here: http://www.grandcanyontourcompany.com/heloairgd.htm It is going to be a BLAST!!!!
